Here comes the pillow case for ACen!
My first time using SAI to do the coloring, I am amazed by its watercolor brush, which really blends the color and give you texture of watercolor!
It is such a powerful, yet light-weight program, I can't say it save time on coloring, but it's hard to have the same outcome in Photoshop, and it takes less time to load the pic (This Miku has more than 70 layers, and Photoshop takes at least twice the time than SAI to load)
I am now using the trail version, as long as the Japanese Yen goes down to a reasonable level (i.e. 1USD=105yen or more) I will buy a copy!! It is so cheap (5000yen) that there's no reason not to buy XD
other than printing a square pillow cover, am also thinking of making a 40cm x 70cm pillow cover because... I drew a full body Miku, and the illustration is for a square pillow case...most of the pic was cropped and I don't wanna waste the pic, stupid reason LOL and the legs are still cropped here...
(If I can gather 4 orders then I can print it, since the minimum order is 5, but I only need one XD so this thingy is only in my mind XDD)
So my works for ACen is nearly done and the list of stuff I am selling should be soon available

By the way, is Aki using a full version?
If she is I think you are in luck. The software licence upto 30PC at the same time, and as long as you don't go over that limit. You are fine. But I think there are other minor restrictions, but it is no big deal. The point is, you can share the cost with Aki if you really feel like it XD

It's still cropped on 40x 70, so I am thinking if there's anything fit the whole pic, I don't want it to be cropped so much anyway XD
hmmmmm....well i don't know, but...maybe you could try printing it in sets of two square pillows, one pillow having the top half of the image, and the the other having the bottom, and when someone uses them and places them together, it looks like they are connected but also not looking to plain compared to having one pillow ;D
...but, thats just an idea LOL
I wounder how it could take 70 layers to finish both of those pictures. I don't use that many layers to finish mine when I use a computer program. (Which is so far Paintshop just in case you were wondering.)
I do separate different parts in layers (like skin (base color)- layer 1, skin(shadow color#1)- layer 2, skin(shadow color#2- layer 3 etc.) and it's easier for me to manager or to adjust/change the color XD
